development on windows

i recently bought a new laptop and i'm not sure if i'm going to keep windows or linux. i have a few reasons for this. i currently have a desktop with an arch linux install, and as i'm currently learning how to program, setting up dev environments is super easy. but, there are a few things i was missing. dumb programs that dont work with wine unfortunately, and small things like music production and audio being not perfect. i even have had issues with my xbox controller. despite the fact that almost everything about windows from a visual and performace standpoint is horrible, the few things that i can do are enough to keep me here
i am happy with at home setup, but a big issue i was having was not being able to take my code and ideas on the go. i now can, and even having a small instance of linux via wsl has been nice. maybe there's a world where i bite the bullet and just install arch on this machine, but i'm hoping not too. having the best of both worlds seems ideal.
